CUE Powers Fan Engagement Across the NFL: A Season Recap

This NFL season, CUE has redefined fan engagement with innovative products that continue to elevate the fan experience in new ways. As we gear up for the Super Bowl, featuring our partner teams—the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs—we’re excited to reflect on the tools and moments that made this season unforgettable.

Our Light Show has become a marquee product in the league, transforming 13 Thursday Night, Sunday Night, and Monday Night Football games into unforgettable visual spectacles. Powered by sound and perfectly synced to music, these smartphone-driven light shows have created magical moments for fans and players alike. Most recently, the Light Show illuminated GEHA Field during the AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills, energizing fans in the loudest stadium in the world and elevating their in-game ritual into something extraordinary.

12 of 14 teams that used our Light Show saw notable success, boasting an impressive winning record this season.

AR Prize Drop introduced a new level of engagement for fans and sponsors alike. By scanning a QR code, fans transformed their smartphones into augmented reality devices, catching virtual objects falling from the sky to win digital prizes. This gamified experience solves a challenge many teams don't realize they have—maximizing sponsor engagement while creating a way to give more fans a chance to play and win a tangible prize.

Fanatic Filters have also been a popular product, creating fun and interactive moments on video boards. This product enhances live crowd camera feeds with playful filters, turning every capture into an opportunity for fan delight. The technology continues to improve, offering teams an engaging way to surprise fans and add excitement to the in-stadium experience.

This season saw the debut of our new Mixed Reality software-based solution, introduced in collaboration with the Cleveland Browns. Unlike hardware-heavy alternatives, our software is easy to implement, with setup taking just a few hours. Teams can repurpose existing content to create dynamic mixed-reality outputs, effortlessly adjusting camera angles and output sizes. Built on the intuitive CUE platform, this solution delivers cutting-edge technology that’s accessible and transformative.

As we approach the Super Bowl, we’re proud of the impact our products have had on fan engagement, app downloads, and sponsor visibility. This season, the CUE Platform engaged nearly 500,000 unique users, awarded over 100,000 prizes, and delivered almost 30,000 hours of engagement, representing over 10 million impressions. These efforts created unforgettable moments and measure value for teams and their sponsors. From smartphone light shows powered by sound to augmented reality activations and mixed reality solutions, CUE continues to redefine the NFL fan experience.
